Halloween - Interesting facts

I'm one of those people that love to watch the History channel, NatGeo, A&E, etc.... I love knowing about our history as a human race, customs and why we do the things we do and why we celebrate the way we do. Many things change over time and we sometimes don't even know why we do them, celebrate a certain way, or how they came into existence.

How do you celebrate Halloween? Do you let your children dress in scary costumes or are they more reserved? How do you decorate? Do you dress, do you have adult and/or childrens' parties? Upload some of your pictures to your page, I'd love to see them. Please share recipies, games, crafts, etc..... (so I can steal them for our party..HA HA). I have a party every year for my kids and their friends. The adults stay as well. The kids play in the yard or play games in the house while the adults socialize around the fire pit. It's great fun, great conversation and it's close to home!

It's amazing how many people really get into this every year. We have families that decorate their house for Halloween as elaborate as they do for Christmas. Besides Christmas, I believe Halloween is the second most holiday American's spend money on.
